On behalf of the proud members of the West Allis Professional Firefighters Association Local 342, your community firefighters, I want to welcome you to the Local 342 website. Here, you will find information about our organization, the members we represent, and the value our members, your firefighters, add to your community.
Local 342 represents the 90 firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, fire inspectors, community EMS providers, equipment operators, and officers who provide 911 responses over 11,000 times per year to keep your community safe. Simply stated, Local 342 will work tirelessly to ensure there are enough firefighters, fire trucks, and equipment to safely respond to your emergency.
Through our charitable organization, the West Allis Fire Fighters Charities, Inc., the members of Local 342 regularly engage with community partners during fundraising events. As a result, the WAFFC is able to strengthen our community by supporting other local charities while providing direct financial assistance for citizens when tragedy strikes.
Together with the Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 342 advocates for legislative advancements to support firefighters mental health, recruit and retain firefighters, and maintain safety in our community.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and supporting Local 342. Please check out our social media pages for the most up to date information about your firefighters.
